Following his tenure as President of the University of Toledo, Dan was invited to come to the United Arab Emirates where he led Zayed University as Provost and Chief Operating Officer. In that position, he reported to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. During Dan’s tenure they built a billion-dollar, futuristic campus in Abu Dhabi
